Malcolm Yards is home to The Market, a community of several food vendors housed under the same roof, plus a large selection of beers on tap. Visitors walk and sip while trying various kinds of food in this modernized industrial building that manufactured railroad tracks 120 years ago. The Market is a "rough around the edges" hangout spot for foodies (and historians) of all ages.
CREATIVE APPROACH
I took inspiration from old railroad signage for the logo, using a similar circular design. The railroad aspect comes into play again as a secondary element for interior wall designs, interacting with the tap icons also included in the logo. Typefaces and color palette were chosen in consideration of a "rougher" atmosphere - I aimed to communicate the building's history in conjunction with its newfound, hip identity as a market and tap house.
Final deliverables include primary and secondary logos, interior and exterior designs, and a few collateral elements.
